Finding your auction property starts with us getting to know you and understanding your requirements and a call is necessary at this point. Then, based on your requirements, we identify suitable properties from auction catalogues. We can offer advice on locations and the pros and cons of each property on your short list.
A surveyor is engaged to carry out the due diligence on the properties that interest you and we appoint a lawyer to attend the auction to present your bid and deal with the associated bureaucracy.
It is important to ensure that by auction day you are 100% committed to the property. Before you can bid, a deposit is required to cover (a) your deposit and (b) the administration fees (any excess is refunded).
Italian auctions use a sealed-bid process, and you bid for only one property. If your bid is accepted then you will need to finalise the payment, typically within 3 months, but this may vary between auction houses.
If your bid is not successful your deposit is returned.
We take care of everything, managing all the paperwork, liaising with the auction lawyer, your bank (where required) and of course the auction house.
