Casciano di Murlo
A very charming village with bars, a good osteria with menu translated in English and German ( we recommend the tagliatelle with ragu for lunch). There are quite a few shops including a bakery, sports shop and grocery. There are also tennis courts and a football pitch.
Brenna
Very nice village with a bar. Another nice walking destination.
Rosia
A more modern place, on the way to Sovicille with a supermarket, gym and more shops.
Bagnaia
Just 7 km from La Rancia where you will find a very nice golf course and spa centre.
Bagni di Petriolo
Spa town with water renowned for its best curing properties. It is a beautiful place and there are plans to build a hotel probably with a spa centre there. It is about 15 km from la Rancia.
All apartments of La Rancia development have been completed in March 2009 and clients have already move in. The swimming pool is expected to be completed by June 2010.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The development is close to the SS73 main road to Siena, which in part has been converted to dual carriageway. Whilst this can be seen as a benefit in terms of good access to Siena and the coast, there is also an element of noise from traffic. Elevation Plans & Overviews
